I distinctly remember in high school how I thought wearing brown and black together was just awful. Now I sort of love it. Not more than brown and grey, but still. When I found this black rayon romper I was sure it was for the shop until I put it on and realized what a great piece it is for adding all kinds of accessories, thereby making vastly different outfits. I was a might lazy with this getup, I admit it.

I love it! My husband is still pretty if-y, okay actually hard-core, about mixing black & brown. However, when I do it he tells me I look nice, or maybe he's being nice?

I think you look perfect, not lazy at all. The necklace is the perfect touch.
Wow that necklace is stunning!
I love boots in the summer . . . and that necklace is awesome!
I know exactly what you mean about mixing black & brown. I'm just finishing a black & brown kumihimo bracelet and love the way it's turning out. I may have to make another to keep for myself!
Black and Brown is a great style ... love using it myself whenever I can!! Here is my version of the mix: http://wp.me/pEOCB-98
i've always (prob especially when it was not right!?) been a big black and brown advocate. i love to sport a really long black dress with my scuffy brown boots peeking out. high five to B&B! and high five to the little-black-romper. love this post ;)
i love the necklace so dainty and detailed all at the same time! Gorgeous!
Black and brown are one of my favourite colour combinations. Maybe for the exact reason, like you say... because I've always thought it was wrong!
funny, when i was in high school, i thought navy blue and black worn together was simply ghastly! and now it makes a regular appearance in my wardrobe.
