the depths of the "sewing" pile


At the very bottom of my sewing pile - a mound that has been growing since late winter - I unearthed this late 1940s plaid cotton dress. And it didn't even need any sewing, just a steaming, that's how under water selling vintage can make you. Anyway, I pulled it out, gave it a steam and then wore it in all it's comfy glory.  It's less long than it appears in the photos, but I'd still shorten it a bit were I going to keep it, but nay, this frock has already found a new home so off she goes...

that's one nice plaid day dress. unique colors on the plaid print too. i want to procure more dresses with pockets. i like the white fabric on these.
