First, I blinked hard. Then I sort of melted a bit. Then I whined. Then I rationalized. And then I made my purchase. This dress is from Salvage Life, a pretty fantastic vintage shop on Etsy that I have bought my fair share of garments from. Beth of Salvage Life has an sublime eye for vintage and stocks super pretty and feminine vintage that makes visiting her shop so much fun. This 1930s mustard crepe dress is so light and easy to wear. When I bought it was long and while I in no way an advocate of chopping off vintage dresses, this one had some damage to the bottom of the skirt that made making it shorter much less offensive. In fact, I think it makes this dress so utterly wearable and perfect for summer.
