I'm always on the lookout for cool little boxes, bowls, plates and the like for storing and displaying jewelry. Recently I stumbled upon THESE and just love them.

I'm loving the understated jewelry at Nomoi Koru and what sweet gifts these earrings would make, no?

Paula Mattson | artist
I recently happened upon the artwork of Paula Mattson and was instantly taken with it, I envisioned owning multiple pieces and passing them on to future generations. How great are these? Mattson, a Chicago-based artist describes her pieces as being "characterized by fragments of reality combined with design elements and forms in compositions where the positive image is surrounded by areas of negative space, each of equal importance". I'm all about it. You can purchase her work HERE.

Pooka Queen
I have done a blog post about these Pooka Queen hats before, but I'm doing it again a) because she has a new collection and b) I flippin' love them so damn much. It's only a matter of time before I buy one of the first two, talk about "vintage meets modern!" And hey, my birthday IS this month ;)

Holiday jewels
Seriously though, you should not let the holiday season pass without perusing the exceptional vintage jewelry curation of Jean Jean Vintage. I could literally fill my Etsy favorites with selections from her shop - in fact, I did favorite the sweet red and white St. Valentine earrings at the bottom of this post & only hours later someone else has snapped them up - maybe for a gift! The shop is filled with things to give and get! Take a gander if you haven't already swooned over the pages of pretty shiny things....

Mount Royal Mint | wildly cute
The phrase, "cuter than a bug's ear" comes to mind when I look at these little creations from Mount Royal Mint. Not only that but you can have lil' custom critters made so you can have you own kitty or pup (or whatever!) immortalized and pocket-sized!

A Book By It's Cover
One of my favorite things to do around the holidays is walk around downtown and visit the shops, I never miss the used bookstores where I always find some great gifts for the readers on my list. Recently, I found Sometimes a Great Novel, an Etsy shop that is pretty much the online equivalent of one of my favorite brick and mortar bookstores. Aren't these book covers just the coolest?

erin lightfoot | porcelain bangles
It's too bad my wrists are the size of a 10 year-old girl or I'd most certainly buy a couple of these super cool porcelain bracelets from Australian based artist Erin Lightfoot. You can find them in her shop, LIGHTFOOTprints.

I already collect enough things, but these wool pillow covers made by Rebecca at LittleByrdVintage tickle my collecting bone something fierce. Actually, her whole shop creates this soothing calm cabin-house feeling and I just way to lay my head down on one of these pillows and wake up to the smell of a campfire.
