hey john boy!

You know how sometimes you go to bed knowing what you are going to wear the next day? I love when that happens. I bought these pinstripe suspender pants for the shop, but the truth be told, shooting pants is sort of no fun. So before I chucked them in my giveaway clothes pile, I put them on and well, an outfit was born. I was dressed earlier than most days today because I was pretty excited to wear this outfit. No that I really go anywhere, today it was three thrift stores and the cafe in town. But still. There's no harm in being dressed for being dressed sake, right?

I love getting dressed up for no reason too...besides no one knows your just going back home to shoot vintage. ;)

P.S. How did you put your hair up? It looks grand.

John Boy! I loved the Waltons when I was a youngun. I *always* get dressed up for thrifting, so I approve 100%!

Hello Lauren, from one of your etsy fans.

First of all, love your threads here. I love when a girl rocks a quasi-masculine look, but then pretties it up with feminine touches like hairstyling and shoe choices, etc. Kudos!

Secondly, you have a 30's dress that I am interested in. Would you ever entertain a trade? I have a late 30's/early 40's jadeite green cotton dress with yellow and white detailing... It's in good to very good condition, and I could follow up with pictures as soon as Wednesday of next week, if in fact you are interested.

I know I will not wear the dress I am referring to so I thought I might ask you first...

Hugs and love from Chicago,

Well, it sold... rats... still, would you be up for a trade, L? Or will you be getting more of the 30's/40's cabana style dresses in soon? I love that look...

The braces go well with the pants and white top. Nice outfit!
