1940s Inspired

Yes yes, I know, we are ALL inspired by the 1940s style, who doesn't love it? But today I felt especially inspired, perhaps because I watched The Edge of Love last night (finally) which is set in London during WWII. I knew I would go gaga over the clothes and yep, I did, and yep I happened to thrift this little vintage blouse earlier in the day which is sort of like one in the film. I shot over 650 photos of just accessories and blouses and this blouse was in the bunch. As it were, I am keeping it along with TOO many others
- same old, same old!

Mr. Dear Golden and I went to see a play tonight and prior we had some cocktails at a restaurant nearby the theater. We sat up at the bar and after being there for nearly an hour an older (and sort of adorable) gentleman came up to us and asked us what we were arguing about, and said that he used to be marriage counselor and wondered if he could be of assistance. He said this while smirking and with a very friendly air, and we both started laughing so hard because we weren't even CLOSE to arguing! We just seem to appear to be so the way we are animated while we talk to each other. The man ordered us another round which was extra sweet, I have a very big soft spot for older gentleman, truth be told...

blouse - thrifted
skirt - thrifted
cuban heels - thrifted
belt - thrifted
clutch - thrifted
yellow flower - made by me!

You look lovely! What a sweet outfit, especially with that flower in your hair. And a great story to boot!

It's really nice to spend such night with your loved one. And I laughed a lot when the conselor man were misinterpreting you & mr.dear golden - it reminds me of the way people think about me & my boyfriend too. And the edge of love is truly amazing, I agree with you, but you just make it even more perfect with your pretty outfits... I wish i have something as good as yours!
