Have pity on me!

What you see here is the contents of my closets, currently occupying the guest room. We are having closet systems installed, our house was built in 1924 and is without very functional closets as far as the modern day person is concerned. This is a project I both looked forward to, as it will mean I can actually SEE all my clothes and actually be able to wear more of them and not neglect them. But also dreaded because a) it's expensive and b) it meant removing the contents of all 4 closets for a week while they get gutted, mudded, painted & installed. It's impossible to get dressed, so no outfits posts, naturally, but I thought I'd give you a glimpse of the mess & later a view of the finished closets, which will be Friday!! It'll be fun to put clothes and shoes in their place in the new closets I am planning a very glamorous Friday night you can just imagine...I think I'll have celebratory champagne while I flit from closet to closet putting every last garment in it's place!

The lower photos are of Chad working on my closet, which seems to at one time had some very pretty wallpaper! I would love to wallpaper the inside of the closets again, but then I also want to get this ordeal over with sooner than later so painting the inside it is - pale gray of course!

What a wonderful project! I can't wait to see the finished results. I am just a little bit envious ;) Our house is 1925 - I get you on the closet situation.

I'm so envious! We're renting, so we're stuck with our tiny closet for now.

HA! I can't wait until we move and we'll finally have CLOSETS period! The place I live at right now has ZERO closets.... crazy.
