When I was still a kid, but able to start wearing women's size shoes, my mom bought me a pair of woven leather "mules" very much like the woven slingbacks above, but without the straps. I was so excited to be out of kids shoes, and I felt so grown up; I remember going to the movies right after we bought the shoes, but I couldn't focus on the movie because I was too preoccupied with looking at me feet. :)
