channeling gene kelly for NYE

I once read that for the iconic Singing in the Rain scene, the one where Gene Kelly dances, sings & splashes in the rain, the actor actually had a 103 degree fever and did the scene in one take, afterward going straight home and was sick for days. Well I spent the week having the flu and was in the bed more than I care to admit, right up until 5pm on New Year's Eve. But I channeled Gene Kelly and got myself up and ready for the night just the same. The dress is something I got for the shop that I didn't anticipate wearing because I thought it was too small, but my eyes deceived me because it fit perfectly and now is mine!

Mr. DG was out until 5am the night before NYE so basically
this is how the two of us REALLY felt before heading out last night....

Our friends just got this new pup and it's the wiggliest, cutest little puff ball of a thing I just had to post some shots of him.

Awww, you look lovely!
I'm afraid Jonny and I chickened out and didn't go out last night. Oh well, there was fireworks in our backyard which made up for it. Oh, and I got him to watch Roman Holiday, hehe.
Btw, you have the perfect body! Your my body role model. Haha, sorry if that's weird!

You (and Mr. DG) look great! And I feel your pain, as I've been fighting some kind of sinus/hacking cough thing all week. But we still had friends over and had a good time. Here's to being a trouper!

And happy new year!

Lovely dress and shoes- especially the scalloped hem! ugh- it seems like everyone is sick. I was up all night coughing and sniffling (caught up on some reading though!) but did manage to dress up for the evening anyway.

You, the pup, and Mr DG all look adorable. Adorable is the wrong word - YOU look STUNNING in that dress! How nice to be able to fit into a dress that you expect to be too small. For most of us it's generally the other way around.

Get better soon, and Happy New Year!

That puppy could not be any cuter if he tried! What a fluffball!

You look so lovely, your hair is gorgeous. Is it naturally that curly or did you curl it for the night? Love the dress too. Happy new year!
