i'd know it like the back of my head

Sometimes while antiquing I come across old diaries and honestly, there is quite a delight in opening an diary of a person you've never met nor will ever meet. I have even bought these diaries before, but after you read them, there isn't much you can do with them. The talented Rikkianne of Chakra Pennywhistle breathes new life into these records by sketching the most charming drawings right atop the writing and did a sweet little sketch of a hat from my shop complete with the errant lock of hair that escaped my pins when I photographed it. I loved the whole idea so much I thought I would share it and her Flickr set with you.

This reminds me a lot of a book called The Humument by Tom Phillips. I really love this idea and I've seen a couple of prints like that on Etsy that I've wanted to buy.

By the way, I discovered your blog a short while ago and I have a little crush on it. I love your vintage goods and your style! And I have my eye on the hat that you featured in this post...I just hope I get paid this week and maybe I can buy it!

Oh no! I just checked the shop and the hat's not there anymore...I'm sad. Oh well. That'll teach me to wait. :/ Sorry for the double comment!
