these precious things

This past weekend Mr. DG and I spent Saturday at a couple of antique malls, my favorite vintage shop and out to a fancy dinner. I am not sure how I get him to go to these places with me, I think it's the "there might be records there!", and at the vintage store there are! In fact I was done shopping before him, ha! Above is my outfit, obviously, which is all thrifted and also a photo of my necklaces for no real reason at all. Below are some scenes from one of the antique malls, one of my most favorites places to go, there is always so much stuff...but then, I also end up spending much money. This trip proved to be no exception.

Your outfit is adorable! I don't know how we get boys to go vintage shopping with us, either, but we do! I think they actually enjoy it sometimes, too, though they'd never admit it to us.

Terrific skirt! Skirt and shoes remind me a bit of some of the suit-ish outfits in Givenchy's fall '10 preview:

Vintage shopping?! I can't even get my man to shop, let alone vintage shop with me! I love your stuff, and you are simply too cute for words.

Oh my, that bow atop your head is so pretty! I've been meaning to get some ribbon at the craft store, to tie in my hair a la Zooey Deschanel. Also, love that grey skirt ensemble!

Knightsbridge!! I must get myself over there... Oh, the loveliness never ends at that place. Or in this place :)

P.S. I'm giving away a pair of fingerless mittens that I just finished weaving. Stop by, I'd love for you to win them!

BTW, I love your tights. Anytime my boy comes thrifting with me ... usually when we are on holidays or on a mini-break ... he becomes so agitated, I'm forced to leave early. No fun!
You are a lucky woman.

Your outfit is lovely :)
I know what you mean about getting your mr. to go vintage shopping with you. My lovely one is so great about it. It's not that he's that into vintage but he likes how excited it makes me and he sometimes finds things for himself which makes both of us happy.
Seems like you had a great date :)

I go thrifting alone now. It ends up being a hassle going with my boyfriend.

I love your skirt.

I've used the prospect of good vinyl finds to lure my boyfriend into many a thrift adventure with me. He likes going though and even helps me look for vintage treasures!
