Tonight we get our Christmas tree! Every year we get it from the same place, Flatsnoots. I just had to tell you the name of the place because it's a pretty funny word, flatsnoots. It's a man from way up north in Michigan who drives down state with a 1950s Airstream trailer and sets up shop in a giant parking lot. The trailer is decorated to the max with everygreen boughs and twinkle lights and it's absurdly warm when you go inside to pay for your tree. What also makes it special is every year he makes a tiny warming "hot toddy" for you, like whiskey and egg nog and you can sit in the trailer, have a drink and warm up. Then we come home and set up the tree while listening to Christmas music by Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack and of course the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown Christmas music. Bourbon drinks are always in order as if the roaring fireplace. I sort of love this night...

However I do wish I had these amazing ornaments to decorate the tree. I love the first, yarrow one best. And had I discovered them earlier I think they seem pretty easy to make. You could get clear glass bulbs and fill them with whatever natural stuff you want! If not, you can always buy these from Land-Rich.
