Born of the need to be comfy and warm while in Detroit I had to fight the urge to get all fancied up and I am so glad that I did because I was both comfy and warm. Success!
plaid snap button blouse - thrifted
1960s wool skirt - antique store
tights - Sock Dream
boots - Frye
In Detroit and we started at the Motown museum, which I must admit I wasn't *that* excited about, but it actually ended up being my most favorite part of the day (yes, even moreso than the thrifting!). The tour at the museum was super cool, the recording studio where all the Motown songs were recorded is there and it's a very hands on experience, I touched the piano at which Marvin Gaye wrote and recorded "What's Goin' On". After I got this sweet little MOTOWN rhinestone pin which is totally going to live on this coat. The next stop was Avalon Bakery - so much yum. Thifting, antiquing and a fantastic dinner rounded the fun day out. I seriously never have a bad time in Detroit.
