Another Pretty Face

So here's the thing - although I am a huge music lover, sometimes when I am working or doing things around the house I don't want to listen to music, but I want *some* kind of pleasant noise. That's where the Turner Movie Classics channel comes in. There are days when I just leave it on and listen to whatever movie comes on (save for westerns, what a bore, blah!). While I don't like regular television noise, I think the sounds of old flms is entirely different and actually pretty soothing. Because of this I often walk past the living room where there's totally gorgeous leading women on the screen. Such was the way recently when I saw Leslie Caron. I feel like she's an amazing beauty who you hardly ever seen lauded on blogs and such. But she's an absolute doll! Those huge eyes, the dancers body and grace and THE cutest little voice that comes complete with the most disarming French accent. She's a babe.

I adore her! I've been thinking of doing a post about her for awhile, but kept 4getting too. I'm so glad you're paying tribute to her! Oh and I too have TCM on all the time! At the moment it's a western, blah, haha! Though Mr. Gable a stud! :o)

I love Leslie Caron. How is it that they describe her in An American in Paris? "She isn't beautiful, but she has a great beauty." Sigh. I love her.

Gigi is one of my favourite films, mainly because Leslie lights up the screen. So glad you posted this ... you're right, she doesn't get much recognition and she was (and is) a complete fox.
