Into the woods

The house at which we are staying in Asheville is way way in the woods, and way up in the mountains and well, is downright gorgeous. The morning was spent having coffee on this giant deck overlooking the woods. The afternoon was spent thrifting whereupon I found this great 1940s daydress, seersucker navy & white with great pocket detail. The hem is out and needs mending, but other than that it fits like a dream and replaced the outfit I was going to wear to the rehearsal dinner tonight. I also hit some of the vintage stores in town and well, was very happy that Etsy exists because the Etsy vintage sellers really do have some cream of the crop stuff and it's lovely to be able to shop for it while in your jammies!

This morning was so delightfully leisure, I was able to list some new item and
hopefully I will have the same laidback Saturday morning, lounging on the deck with a
cup of coffee, watching the hummingbirds...a girl could get used to this southern style of
living I am enjoying, that's for sure.

First of all- that dress is great! You look like Kate Winslett in Revolutionary Road. Secondly, I want that brown silk blouse. We'll see if that's what the cosmos wants cause I'm waiting till you get home to do any clothes stuff...
