Fashion Intersections

Today I am equal parts - Lauren Bacall, Debra Winger and my mom in like, 1980. I love how you can meld time periods in fashion and how it melds itself. For instance, the 1970s saw a big revival of the prairie-style, whole Gunne Sax thing and actually that seems have made it's way back yet again. I love how in the 1980s there was a very distinct harkening back to he 1940s. I think this outfit reminds me of that. The high waist denim which is both 40s and late 70s-early 80s, the puffed shoulders on blouses, and the platform shoes. I decide Ella was timeless and she needed to make it into the shot. She looks like she wasn't too into it, but don't let her fool you, she was.

blouse - given to me by a friend, who thrifted it
belt - thrifted
high waist jeans - Levi's
platforms - Ebay

And THIS is why I love the 70s. And the 40s. And I agree with the other 2 comments - that top rocks.
