supernatural cooking

No no, this won't be turning into a food blog, but I have etched out more time in my life than usual lately and I like filling it with cooking which is something I used to do a lot of before I started Dear Golden. I particularly love cabbage, in all kinds of forms and have a favorite recipe, Cabbage Crunch Slaw from Supernatural Cooking (also in website form called 101 Cookbooks) that is just perfect for summer.  Both the book and the blog are sort of like food porn withh the most glorious food photos ever, they certainly make you WANT to cook things.  Above is the before and after of my labor, and I use labor lightly here are this recipe require no actually cooking at all, but rather, "assembling", which is quite nice.

My friends Wendall and Gladys (made by Regina at Every Eskimo) stand by to help out,
Gladys the bunny looks little grumpy which is strange because I think she loves cabbage.

Some dresses waiting on the "to be photographed" rack.
