dear golden | vintage

Ahhh...finally, it's May and finally after waiting ALL winter, I can wear this dress! I got it way back in December and made alterations (shortened the hem, cut and added elastic to the sleeves) and it just sat in my closet waiting for spring. I am so happy in it! The hat I got yesterday at the Salvation Army and it is just what I have been looking for. After not thrifting while I was on vacation it felt so great doing it! I felt relaxed and as though all my "levels" had been reset, I think aside from snuggling with Ella, I like thrifting more than anything. Ok, maybe not more than coffee, well, ok probably. And in the background is my new rack system for the shop, it's so nice to not have big racks in the room, I just have brackets hung from the windows and the closet are still at height I can reach AND far away from the kitties!

Happy May to everyone, I am going to Treasure Mart on my lunchhour and will take photos. Treasure Mart is the mecca of antiques and neat things, it's 3 floors and it's consignment so the prices range, which is a good thing. I always have so much ridiculous fun there and find outstanding vintage things.
