vintage superheroine

A few mornings ago I happened upon This Old Life, and with mouth nearly agape I scrolled though posts of this adorable woman wearing what looks like vintage 1930s clothing, only get this, she MAKES these clothes. Either from scratch or from clothing she has or thrifts. Um, yeah. Makes the stuff you see here, like even the freaking gloves. I can't even begin to imagine having that kind of talent and skill. And should we talk about her hair? Pulling off just about the hardest hairstyle to accomplish, ever? Oh AND she has a toddler. Basically, she's a superhero; at least in my world.

I can't actually believe this. it was amazing enough but she makes them? I can mess up sewing a button on!....fabulous. sheer and utter.

DEFINITELY a super heroine!! And cute to boot! Can't believe she has a toddler either. Man, I need to learn how to sew, big time.

Gahhh. This... wow. I wish I could master finger waves and sewing. I feel so untalented right now.

I think I'll tackle the finger waves before the sewing. And definitely before I have a toddler.

good gawd! my thought process was like-

1) dam, she has an amazing collection of vintage clothes, and shut up with that hair!
2) Say what!? she MADE all of it!
3) EVEN the gloves! :0
4) and she has a TODDLER! shut the front door!!! I have a toddler, I'm shamed.

Heroine indeed!

Nabby is a wonderwoman. I've seriously considered paying her to do nothing but sit and sew 24/7 because I can never wait to see what she does next.

Oh, I'm so proud! The sailor dress in the first photo was from my shop!

It started out a pretty nubby knit with embroidered flowers on the chest. Sold as is because it had a tiny stain and I couldn't believe it when she showed me the end product.

True perfection and talent. The definition of a superheroine.
