Paula Mattson | artist
I recently happened upon the artwork of Paula Mattson and was instantly taken with it, I envisioned owning multiple pieces and passing them on to future generations. How great are these? Mattson, a Chicago-based artist describes her pieces as being "characterized by fragments of reality combined with design elements and forms in compositions where the positive image is surrounded by areas of negative space, each of equal importance". I'm all about it. You can purchase her work HERE.

David Palladini
Recently I was introduced the artwork of David Palladini and was instantly enchanted. I totally want a giant print of the first image for my bedroom wall, it would be paired perfectly with the macrame plant holders, crochet and airy bohemian vibe I'm going for. So now I have another thing to hunt & collect!

this is not project runway
I love me some avant garde fashion; garments that channel Star Wars, paper, Grecian slaves, medieval evildoers, and the future simultaneously really speak to me. I don't care about them being wearable or not wearable, I just love the whole damn effect. These are from the 2011 summer fashion masterclass at the Arts of Fashion Foundation in Paris.

decades
These are fun, no? In trying to choose a favorite I so wanted to choose something other than the 1920s image just because I like that era so much, but alas, that is the one I like the best, or maybe the 2000 because the lil' gal sort of looks like a cat. Which image is your favorite, your usual taste in fashion of the decades notwithstanding?
