So since I have this nice shop that is this nice brick I thought I would take some nice photos outside. Not so nice. The camera hated it, the shadows weren't enough to make me not squint and look evil and the wind did unattractive things to my hair. On top of it, this dress just came out of storage in my basement and I was too lazy to iron it so it looks like I was too lazy to iron it. Then I moved inside and tried to take photos only to have them be even worse, really dark and fuzzy - what the heck!? But I was pretty intent on showing you this sweet 1930s cotton dress so here it is. Thankfully the dress has enough charm to overshadow my potpourri of failures.

you're so funny!! this reminds me of when I try taking photos in public w/ my tripod, it never turns out the way I want it to. the brick background is nice tho, as is that little feminine floral frock!
What a great dress...I know the feeling re: photo experimentation, though!
Squinting into the sun and looking evil would be an apt description of every outfit photo I attempt. But this dress--love! The print, and the pops of red with that blue. Beautiful.
i love you. this dress is awesome.
I can't stand how awesome this dress is.
that is one. gorgeous. dress. WOW!
That dress could not be any more perfect! That color combo is one of my favorites!
I think these pictures actually look perfect. Really helps me imagine the depression-era girl standing outside the bank maybe, waiting for her Father to come back out empty-handed. The dress is obviously lovely anyway. I like this fantasy better than it belonging to a 30's glamour girl. :)
Hi,
I have been shooting outside and love it! I choose a wall that is out of direct sun and the light is quite lovely and you won't get the dreaded shadow/squint. I was facing a wall (church facade), looking north with the sun to my left. I think you will love the variety of outdoor shots. Cute dress, adorable on you.
