Claire Basler | studio & artwork

My friend Amy, who knows my tastes very well and has impeccable taste herself, sent me to the site of French artist, Claire Basler whose house/workspace & artwork are a real feast for the eyes- a space filled with dreamy floral art, long shadows, blooming and dying plants and distressed antique furniture.

So beautiful. I find people who can allow their workspace to remain a work of art itself are just amazing. I, personally, and a small hurricane that kind of messes up everything in her way.

Also, I have a sudden urge to sit in a room with a large fan and a ficus tree and paint the results.

Beautiful! I love that first image. Who knew I would miss the clanking, rattling, steam-shooting radiators of NYC? Every time I see one I get a little misty-eyed.
