A while back when I spoke of starting a portion of the shop called
The Distillery I fully intended to sell off 1920s dresses and other very special dresses that I have found for the shop along the way. But it is now that I have to admit to you (it's taken time for me to admit to myself!) that The Distillery is most likely going to be a little area of my closet/the shop that only grows and never depletes. There is something about the 1920s dresses, that although I do not wear them, that just woo me, to a point that I just have to take them out now and then and look at them, never able to sell them. You don't want to hear this, I know. Are you mad at me? Maybe...but there ARE some 1920s that I AM willing to sell and those do make it into the shop and will continue to do so.
Also, though The Distillery started out as just 1920s dresses, there has been an addition of a 1930s dress, a dress that is a marvel to me as it it feel like it was never worn and has no flaws at all (last photo). When I got it I almost could not believe my eyes. I love it when that happens.
So here are the most recent additions to The Distillery. I think I might even wear each one of these, at least once. :)

Those are absolutely beautiful and I don't blame you for keeping them. The dress with the embroidery, along the waist line...are those words on the dress? What a cool feature of the first dress, removable sleeves!

agreed! there is just something wonderful with the 1920s & 30's dresses (actually I love all fashion from that era). But that last pale pink dress is simply amazing.
I had to take the one and only 30's dress out of the shop that I'd listed. Simply could not bring myself to part with it. Have no idea whatsoever where I'll ever wear it to, but it DOES fit, and so then ... ohh the possibilities! ;)

i have a few 30's 40's and 50's in my special spot but i'm still on the lookout for some 20's!
i think i may have an early estate sale/give away many years from now but before it's too late to enjoy sharing the last and best of my treasures.

The Distillery sure is a magical place. These dresses are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing pictures. I can completely understand why you wouldn't want to part with them. I have been happy to see more 1920s dresses popping up in the shop.
Oh my god, if you EVER decided to sell the 20's ivory ruffled tunic, I would buy it off of you in a HEARTBEAT. It is to die for!
