A little over a week ago I felt the 1970s coming on and it's reared it's head once again, but then, I don't think I am alone in my love for certain 1970s fashion. Sure there is some truly awful '70s trends, and even moreso some awful fabrics, but there are things like tight space dyed sweaters and sweater dresses, tall boots, high-waisted and wide-leg pants and wood heeled platforms that I will enjoy wearing once the weather is warmer. This Organically Grown label, which came out in 1971 is always fun to see. It is part of the Young Edwardian (formed in 1964) family and we can all attest to how popular that particular label has become. I just love tight space dyed knits, always cute and always easy to wash acrylic!
Oh & also a little pic of Ella showing you how she makes it real hard for me to peel myself out of bed in the morning.

You look so beautiful in that dress. And I'm so excited about seventies' fashions too. Found a pair of high-waisted navy flares for £3 in my favourite second hand shop this weekend and can't wait to wear them out. The high waists are so much higher and more flattering than any you can find on the high-street today!
I heart space-dyed knits, what a cute dress! And after the gym helps me lose a little around the middle, I'm hoping to fit into some of those 70's high waist jeans again, they're my faave!
I have a soft spot for some 70s styles myself: pretty little dresses with fitted midriffs and flirty skirts, long peasant skirts, knee-high boots, and large bangle bracelets... I really love this knit dress you're wearing too--the style is so classic! :)

PERFECT sweater dress. Enough said. :)
mama. i want that dress. hands reaching out here.
One time I sold a Young Edwardian dress and the buyer wrote complaining it wasn't Edwardian, um yeah. Ever since I've wondered if the opposite will ever happen.
You rarely see the O.G. knit dresses, good find!
Lovely outfit, you look so chic! And adorable cat, of course!

Love your dress and that picture of your sweet little kitty is so very cute!
oh ella! i could've used some of her snuggles last week. of course i love the sweater dresss :) vogue tells me 1970's highwaisted wide leg pants are big for spring. yay!
In my opinion high waisted pants are ALWAYS in! Okay, maybe Jessica Simpson didn't look so great in them, but I think they are forever fashionable. I love 70's clothing, and vintage clothing in general!

Darling dress! I was a teen in the 70's, and so for many years most of those styles just felt so old-fashioned to me. Now enough time has past, and I'm really starting to warm up to 70's fashions again.
I think you could make a sack look fashionable! LOL I do like the look!
Gorgeous Lauren! Both you and Ella!
Oh wow! That dress is so perfect! Looks great on you.
I made my first purchase from your shop last week and am sporting the green beret in one of my recent blog posts. Thought you might like to see it i its new home. :) (http://candimandi.typepad.com/heres_lookin_at_me_kid/2011/01/write-or-wrong-1.html)
So so cute. Im kind looking forward to the 70's revival that Ive been seeing everywhere... if it would just stop being cold long enough for me to shed some layers!
Luv luv luv the 70s - especially the wooden platform heels and the high-waisted denin! I also love the organically made label!
