While photographing this skirt I thought, "hey, this is a real nice skirt & I think it'll fit me", then when I took it off the dress form and saw the label I knew I'd be keeping it. One of my favorite labels is 'handmacher" but until this skirt I had only seen it in suits from the 1940s and early 1950s. Perhaps this skirt had a jacket with it at one time, the fabric certainly feels "suit-ish". You can read more about Handmacher here.
