Pencil me in

This outfit is a wee bit out of character for me, at least I think so, but it's too much fun to just play around with fashion not to try it out. I am however, way into pencil skirts right now and see more of them in my future. What I like about this outfit is the pattern on pattern which I don't feel I get a chance to do very often, it's a slippery slope and can either look spot on or totally horrible. I'd like to think this pattern on pattern is in the spot on catagory. I am not much for the pink tie that is attached to this blouse but I am hesitant to remove it as it is an original part of the blouse. My favorite part of this blouse is the way it forms a subtle peplum at the hem and it's corset-like structure.
