Celadon

photos linked here

Lately I have totally fallen in love with everything celadon. While it's easy to find lovely celadon ceramics or even jewelry it isn't so easy to find vintage clothing in celadon...but, I have been squirreling some away and this month will be stocking the shop with sweet celadon vintage pieces, stay tuned!

Wearing Nothing New

I just watched this short TED TALK with Jessi Arrington and thought it was certainly
something I needed to share with my vintage-loving friends.

it's official

It is officially that time of the year when I really start to long for spring, spring colors and spring flowers. Ugh.

a girl can (& will) dream

Because I'm pining for an awesome industrial space/warehouse these images of a multi-use workspace in the Netherlands (of course) really struck a cord and have provided some serious inspiration.

facehunter favorites

So I found this post buried in my blog draft posts and I can't even remember starting it, but I still dig all these getups and they seem to look ahead to the fall, so here are some of my quite old, but still good Facehunter favorites!

an apple a day

You have some time? Well if you do you won't if you take a gander at this site I just got lost in. While I should have been taking a shower I was scrolling page after page of this blog and getting closer and closer to the screen before waking from the stupor. The images are so beautiful I can almost hear them, I hear Ravel, Satie, Fauré. I felt hot and cold all at once, inspired and immobile. I wanted to go out and buy things, I wanted to go throw things away. It's ironic that the title of her blog is An Apple a Day because it definitely felt therapeutic. I realize I am a late comer to the blog, but I actually do not read many blogs, I can't seem to find the time. But it seems the time found me this morning...

Quite simply, I'm head over heels

I am just about knocked out by this collection from Austrian designer, Susanne Bisovsky. How absolutely lush is are these clothes, and this is just a tiny snipit of her work, which you can see at her site. Do check out the MITGIFT Collection, my personal favorite! I love clothing that set up a story of another time or place and I am pretty sure I would actually wear these clothes around town, with nary a reservation! I'd write more about these clothes right now, but honestly, I am going straight back to her site to oogle them more!

Pretty is as Pretty Wears

Some images of lovely stylish ladies from Nast.

I love her paleness and pale clothes.

And to contrast, I love her olive skin. I also how relaxed everything about her looks, so unfussy.

I want this hair. Alas I must wait...oddly enough my hair in its natural state looks just like the gal above!

I just absolutely love her eyebrows!
