My best friend Madeline happens to work a place I can only describe as Rushmore, not as in the monument, but as in the fictitious school. It's actually in Tuxedo Park, New York, but to me, it's Rushmore. I visited Madeline this month and was treated to all that the school does for the holidays- a holiday choral concert, a culture studies presentation put on my the younger children, a holiday luncheon, a school day of anything but normal school activities and lastly a very fancy holiday dinner at the Tuxedo Park Club. Sadly I don't have photos of my dress on that night, but lemme just say, it was a doozy. I spent the evening feeling a little bit like a princess and had the most charming company of a man several years my elder (always the best company if you ask me). I was happy to finally get to wear one of my exceptionally dressy dresses. Anyway, below are some shots from my long weekend spent at the school...
the hallway of the one of the main buildings is covered in photos of students from years long past

if I were a 7th grader I would certainly want to be in her class, how cool are the "decorations"!?
