get your hair did

I know braids have been super popular for a long while now, I remember something like 'braid Wednesdays' on Twitter last year, yes? But yet, I have refueled my interest in them by watching the entire season of Game of Thrones recently. Unmatched violence & unmatched hair braiding! Personally I really want to figure out how to fishtail braid my own hair.

And a little history - apparently in Europe, during the Medieval and Renaissance periods simple braids served functional purposes keeping hair out of the way of cooking and cleaning as well as to keep it cleaner between bathing.

  2. So beautiful. Every time I see images like this I think.... 'Nah, I'll put off cutting my hair another month'. I know how I'm going to wear my hair tomorrow...

And fishtail braids are easy with a bit of practice :) I do them a lot! There's actually a tutorial on the beauty department that shows you how. I've sent a few curious friends to this video and now they're fishtail pros ;)

  3. I have to grow my hair back out because I do love a messy braid. My sister in law has this amazing red hair and braids her hair down to her low bag. So pretty!

  5. Braid Wednesday is one of my favorite Flickr groups. I sure wish I was better at braiding my own (and my daughter's) hair. As you said, it's an entirely functional way to wear one's hair. And so pretty! http://www.flickr.com/groups/braids/

  6. I like this post. Thanks for writing author. Hairstyle can change the outlook, so women do various hairstyle with different hair extensions. Dropship hair extensions are available for new hair business so that they can buy white label product to launch new hair extension brands.
